Tangmere Junior Wardens have been making sure that Bonfire Night went off with the right kind of bang in 2008. First they designed posters shwoing how to enjoy squibbs safely and, after the big day, toured the area clearing firwork related litter.
cil’s 1st Voluntary Sector Awards celebration. Chloe is up for the 'Young Volunteer
of the year' while the other two groups have been nominated for the 'Voluntary Organisation
of the year'.
All have subsequently been shortlisted from their various categories form the considerable number of nominations received.
The award winners will be announced at a celebratory evening at the Minerva Theatre on 24th October.
Congratulations to all concerned on their wonderful achievements and resultant recognition in this way.
AND NATIONAL RECOGNITION TOO
Chichester District’s Junior Wardens have been formally recognised as one of the 'Nations Top 100 Community Projects of the last 10 years' by New Start Magazine, and are the only Community Wardens or Junior Wardens project to be cited in the magazine’s listing called 'Reasons to be Cheerful.
